We Proudly Stand With Sandra Fluke

I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh.  But I did hear on the news some of the terrible things he said about this young lady.  I won't reprint them, but they are quoted on the petition below.  Sandra Fluke, is a law student at Georgetown University.  Ms Fluke was denied from testifying about women's birth control at a hearing held by Darrel Issa's committee.  The democrats held a hearing and she was able to testify about how the lack of birth control affects her and her fellow students.  I have the deepest respect for Ms. Fluke's courage, composure and obvious dedication.  Women have the absolute right to birth control.  End of discussion. It is outrageously wrong to slander such a fine young lady, especially a private citizen, like Limbaugh did.  We proudly stand with Ms. Fluke and demand every republican to renounce these remarks.  Sign the petition
From the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee:

I denounce Rush Limbaugh for his misogynistic attack on Sandra Fluke and all women. The Republican Party should be ashamed of itself.

Denounce Rush's Vile Misogyny

 from Change.org:

Tell Republican Leaders: Denounce Rush Limbaugh's Anti-women Tirade

***Update 3/02/12***

Limbaugh now has a 3 day history of unwarranted attacks on Ms. Sandra Fluke.  Outrage over his comments has spawned a petition drive to the sponsors of Mr. Limbaugh's show.  As of today 6 sponsors have dropped his show.  Let's get them all to drop this misogynistic bully.  President Obama has personally phoned Sandra Fluke to offer his support and encouragement.  What a great President.

Petition to Issa, investigate Murdoch

Congress: Hold Murdoch Accountable

Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. has been implicated in the bribery of foreign law enforcement officials, the hacking of Sept. 11 victims’ phone lines, the cover-up of a corporate hacking scandal and other offenses here in the U.S.
Hundreds of thousands have called on Congress to investigate. But the person in charge of launching an inquiry, Rep. Darrell Issa of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, went on Fox News Channel to say that he plans to do nothing.
Murdoch is not above the law. We need to place him and his colleagues under the lights and before the cameras in Congress.
Take action now. Sign this letter urging Rep. Issa to hold Murdoch’s News Corp. accountable.
