Protesting with "Gynecological Overshare"

The Washington Post had the best description of the protests over Virginia Republicans anti-woman and anti-abortion legislation.  Seems the state conservative republican legislators facebook pages have been exploding with:
"Virginia seems to have ushered in a new protest genre: the gynecological overshare."
Republican Virginia State senator Ryan McDougle introduced the invasive transvaginal ultrasound bill and has drawn the ire and scorn of thousands of Virginians.  Seems the hapless senator has been stuck to his delete key for hours, removing women's comments from his page.  Fortunately, the Daily Kos has saved some of these priceless protests.

Kansas conservative republican governor Sam Brownback has been inundated with comments also.  You'll remember Sam Brownback doesn't like electronic heckling.  After the Kansas governor visited a local high school last November, one of the students wrote an unfavorable tweet about the lackluster governor.  The governors staff contacted the school and the school principal dressed down the young lady and demanded that she write an apology to the governor.  Perhaps, because the commenter was a young women the governor and his staff felt comfortable in pursuing this matter without any consideration for the students free speech rights.  The governor is ready to sign one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation, again without any consideration of women's reproductive rights.  Maybe there is a pattern here.  Suddenly, the governors facebook page has been bombarded with very clever and funny "overinformation" protest posts.  Conservative republican staff members will now have to display how fast they can delete posts as part of their job interviews. How long until some woman asks one of these republican experts on women's anatomy a gynecological question in public?  Buzzfeed has captured many of the comments here

Who is the Worst GOP Governor

There are a lot of choices for worst GOP governor.  National Nurses United has a wheel of Misfortune displaying 10 of the worst; Jan Brewer (AZ), Chris Christie (NJ), Scott Walker (WI), John Kasich (OH), Mitch Daniels (IN), Tom Corbett (PA), Rick Scott (Fl), Rick Perry (TX), Paul Lepage (ME), Rick Snyder (MI).  Click the link and spin the wheel and learn some of the policies these GOP governors have inflicted on their states.  I understand they had limited space, but how could they leave out Sam Brownback of Kansas and Virginia Governor Robert "transvaginal" McDonnell?

Sam Brownback has been waging a war on women's reproductive health ever since he was sworn in.  One of his first decisions was to defund Planned Parenthood over the non issue of "tax payer funded abortions".  The governor could not possibly misunderstand that no taxpayer funds have or can have funded abortions, so could the governor be lying?
Sam Brownback blocked 393,000 dollars from going to Planned Parenthood.  After Planned Parenthood sued the state, the governor hired the law firm, Foulston Siefkin to defend the state.  These fine attorneys also represent the Koch brothers.  In a state that has cut funding for education, the elderly and health care, its amazing they can find the money--$497,000 so far to pay fancy lawyer fees.
The governor also signed into law a bill targeting abortion clinics with regulations so stringent, no one could possibly comply.  The bills mandated, the exact sizes of janitorial closets and different temperature requirements for waiting rooms and procedure rooms.  Kansas Trap Laws Overview.
Sam Brownback is also promising to sign the latest misogynistic attack on women's reproductive health.  The governor wants to tax women having abortions, (no exemptions for rape, etc.)  and he wants to sign a bill that will let doctors deliberately withhold information from the patient if it would prevent an abortion.  There is a similar bill in Arizona.  Medical doctors can deliberately withhold information that could lead to the death of the child or mother, but its okay if it prevents an abortion?
from Huffpo
Among the most contested provisions of the bill is the section that would exempt a doctor from a medical malpractice suit if a woman claims the physician withheld information about potential birth defects to prevent her from having an abortion. In addition, a woman would not be able to sue if she suffers health damage from a pregnancy as a result of information withheld from her to prevent an abortion.

Finally, we come to Virginia governor Robert "transvaginal" McDonnell.  At one time he was considered a shoe in for the vice-president spot on the GOP ticket.  But that was before he promised to sign the now infamous Virginia Transvaginal Ultrasound bill.  After McDonnell and his horrible bill made headlines across the country, his VP chances dried up faster than funding disappeared for Planned Parenthood in Kansas.

These bills are dangerous, demeaning, and just plain mean.  What kind of people would pass bills like this?  Republicans, mostly male, old, white, conservative republicans.
