I couldn't believe my ears when the Secretary of Defense visiting our troops in Iraq let loose with a pile of Bush/ Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rice lies and propaganda:
“The reason you guys are here is because on 9/11 the United States got attacked, and 3,000 Americans — 3,000 not just Americans, 3,000 human beings, innocent human beings — got killed because of al-Qaeda. And we’ve been fighting as a result of that.”

The reason Americans are stationed in Iraq is because of 9/11? What the hell? Why is Leon repeating 6 year old talking points from Fox news? This is not just a slip of the tongue by a 73 year old man. How could you possibly ever forget that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. I've never believed it and I don't think anyone other than Fox news viewers have ever thought that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. How could the previous director of the CIA not understand that there was no al-Qaeda in Iraq until we invaded Iraq. I don't understand how someone so out of touch and confused was unanimously confirmed in the senate to be secretary of defense.
