The US military has had a ban on abortion coverage for servicewomen and military dependents that have endured rape or incest, forcing them to seek care at their own expense. Congress has decided to approve the Shaheen amendment to reverse this unfair and punitive policy. Everyone who signed a petition in support of the Sheehan amendment made a difference and can be proud of standing in support of our military women.
