8 hours on an airplane (wasn't a direct flight) and it was worth it. 83 degrees air temperature, ocean temperatures average around 75 degrees creating a wonderful snorkeling environment. Humpback whales are here in large numbers this time of year. Breaching whales, blowhole spouts, pec flaps and tail fluke dives are common sights from the beach.
