Homemade Lowfat Caesar Salad Dressing
Our nephew Bob taught us how to make this very tasty, lowfat, quick and inexpensive Caesar salad dressing. The recipe makes just enough for a large salad with no leftovers. It has quickly become our favorite.
Bobby's Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing
3 Tablespoons mayonnaise
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 finely minced garlic clove
3-4 Romaine hearts
freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Mix the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and garlic in a small bowl. Place the dried and cut Romaine in a large salad bowl, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top, add the dressing, toss well, sprinkle with croutons and serve. Note: The salad dressing does not stick to the lettuce leaves very well if the Romaine is wet.

No on Jan Angel
We need more women in government, but not women like Jan Angel that will deny the women of our state the ability to make their own reproductive choices.
Jan Angel Facts:
Nathan Schlicher for Washington Senate LD 26
Jan Angel Facts:
When you look at the policies she has supported in Olympia, you might be surprised. It turns out Jan Angel sponsored legislation to ban all abortions, even in cases of rape and incest.1 She also voted to cut health care for kids,2 and she opposed funding for K-12 education.3 At the same time, she opposed measures to prevent child abuse,4 lower prescription drug costs for seniors,5 and expand health coverage for women and kids.6 That's not the Jan Angel we knew.
Families in our community look out for each other, and we need leaders who will look out for us too. The facts about Jan Angel – surprising as they may be – are hard to ignore.

Lets Begin Ending The Drug War Now
From The Nation:
Dear Friend,
While the Obama administration has fallen short on many of the actual policy changes needed to end the "war on drugs," there's one tool at the administrative's disposal that could have a sweeping and immediate impact on our criminal justice system: the pardon power. Although Attorney General Eric Holder has called on federal prosecutors to avoid mandatory minimums, which require automatic sentences for certain crimes and take away judges' power to consider individual circumstances, prosecutors continue to pursue them and offenders continue to serve decades-long sentences for nonviolent drug crimes.
The public is clearly not served by locking up offenders who pose no danger, separating them from their families and taking away their ability to work or otherwise contribute to society. I just signed an open letter calling on President Obama to pardon or commute the sentences of federal prisoners serving excessive sentences for nonviolent drug crimes. Awesome Young Lady Schools Republican Governor
I couldn't be more impressed with this young lady forcibly taking on North Carolina's loathsome Voting "Rights" act. At 12 years old, I would have been in front of the TV watching cartoons. Calling this young lady a "prop" as the republican governor of North Carolina has stated is not only an insult to Madison Kimrey of Burlington, North Carolina but it is an insult to all our young people and just another example of the everyday republican war on women.
