Happy Friday

For Halloween week, we are featuring this infrared view of the Cat's Paw nebula in the constellation Scorpius.  Amid the dark and dense dust clouds lie one of the most active stellar nurseries of giant stars.  These are young stars most less than a few million years old.  The Cat's Paw nebula is only 5,500 light years from Earth.
