John H. Sununu Selling: "Crocks of Crap"

English: Governor Mitt Romney of MAImage via Wikipedia

6 Republican candidates and everyone of them doubling down on the failed policies of George WMD Bush.
After almost a decade of plainly failed trickle down economics and don't tax the "job creators" our social safety net is crumbling, our infrastructure is cracking and 25 million un or under employed Americans are hurting, you'd think the GOP would have a new plan.  You'd be thinking wrong.  The GOP solution to every American domestic problem is cut taxes for corporations and the wealthy.  "Don't tax the job creators" has been Speaker Boehner's almost constant refrain for the last 2 years.  Although, the GOP ran on a jobs platform, they have created zero jobs and zero job's bills while those "job creators" are hoarding almost 2 trillion in cash.
Particularly egregious is Willard Romney's plan which cuts taxes for millionaires while raising taxes on low income citizens.  Romney surrogate John Sununu was asked about Romney's proposed tax plan on MSNBC tonight.  John H. Sununu called the analysis by the Tax Policy Center "a crock of crap".  Who to believe?
The analysis by the Citzens for Tax Justice and the Tax Policy Center or the chief of staff who spent 815,000 tax payer dollars on military jet flights to attend GOP fundraisers or go skiing?
This report from Citizens for Tax Justice explains the GOP presidential candidates pre-failed proposed US budgets.

Here are more details:

■ Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s $18.1 trillion tax plan would give the richest one percent of Americans an average tax cut of $391,330, which would be over 190 times as large as the average tax cut of $1,990 that the middle fifth of Americans would receive.

■ Texas Governor Rick Perry’s $10.5 trillion tax plan would give the richest one percent of Americans an average tax cut of $272,730, which would be over 270 times as large as the average tax cut of $1,000 that the middle fifth of Americans would receive.

■ Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s $6.6 trillion tax plan would give the richest one percent of Americans an average tax cut of $126,450, which would be over 100 times as large as the average tax cut of $1,220 that the middle fifth of Americans would receive.

■ Former Senator Rick Santorum’s $9.4 trillion tax plan would give the richest one percent of Americans an average tax cut of $217,500, which would be over 100 times as large as the average tax cut of $2,160 that the middle fifth of Americans would receive.

Republicans:Tools of the 1%

The republicans in Washington DC have only two priorities.  Make sure President Obama is a one term president and keep taxes very low for the most wealthy Americans.  Republicans in congress do not serve the 300 million American citizens.  The Republicans serve the 1% that owns 42% of our nations assets, takes home 24% of the nations annual income, owns half of America's stocks and bonds and are taking in more income than any other time since the 1920's.  This is not conducive for America's economic growth or for an effective and vibrant society.   It should also, not be healthy for the Republican party, send the Republicans a message: "Why do you hate tax cuts for working families?"

From Democracy for America:

Republican Tax Hypocrisy

Republicans only care about one thing -- tax cuts. It's the only thing they talk about.

When Americans demand jobs -- Republicans say "tax cuts."

When Democrats take action on education, healthcare and job creation -- Republicans say "tax cuts."

When people demand Wall Street be held accountable for wrecking the economy -- Republicans say "tax cuts."

Republicans are obsessed with cutting taxes, but now that Democrats have put forward a payroll tax cut that will put real money in the pockets of working Americans, Republicans say "No!"

Republicans are hypocrites that only care about lining the pockets of their big-money friends and it's time we called them out for it.

We're demanding answers. Join us now and ask Republicans in Congress -- Why do you hate tax cuts for working families?

Bush's biggest lie of all: tax breaks create jobs

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of one of the biggest con jobs in American history.  The Bush tax cuts instituted in 2001. Bush said "Tax relief will create new jobs, tax relief will generate new wealth and tax relief will open new opportunities.  After two years of little or no job growth, Bush said in 2003 introducing more tax cuts: "these tax reductions will bring real and immediate benefits to middle-income Americans.  By speeding up the income tax cuts, we will speed up economic recovery and the pace of job creation."
Economic growth for the 2001 to 2005 business ...Image via Wikipedia
By looking at the above chart we can clearly see that after 2 Bush "job creation" tax cuts, job growth was not booming. Numbers, numbers lets see a graph.  That guy Clinton raised taxes, so after two Bush tax cuts, Bush's record on jobs should clean Clinton's clock?  Funny doesn't look like it was even close.  It wasn't, in Bush's 8 years the economy gained 1.1 million jobs!  Even that "lame liberal" President Jimmy Carter beat the heck out of George Bush in job creation.

There is no evidence that Bush's two tax cuts increased job growth. After two incredible tax cuts this country should have been entering the golden age.  Instead, the rich got all the gold and the rest of us just aged in place.  We have tried it their way for a decade and it clearly doesn't help.  As an experiment, lets go back to taxing at the 90% rate for the upper income brackets that was in place during Eisenhower's golden era.  If it doesn't create jobs at least it will retire the debt. Thanks to George Bush and his republican lackeys we have lots of debt.
