ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council, where corporations exchange money for votes lobbying in our legislatures. They have been in the news lately, for the "defend your ground laws" and the rush to dis-enfranchise millions of American voters.
Right Wing Watch:
Some corporations like Coke, Pepsi, the Gates Foundation, Blue Cross/ Blue shield and 7 other corporations have quit ALEC in the last week. But Johnson and Johnson is a member of Alec and so far they are staying put. ALEC is really a sweetheart deal for Johnson and Johnson. ALEC creates problems that Johnson and Johnson also offers solutions for.
