We are Republicans, Democrats, and Independents joining together to fight for women.
Our bi-partisan group will work to support and elect candidates who will bring respect for women back to an arena of civil discourse and put a stop to the legislative attacks on women.
Rebecca Geller talks about the PAC she helped form in Virginia in response to the republican transvaginal ultrasound bill. The multi-party PAC is dedicated to removing from office every delegate that voted for either the personhood amendment or the transvaginal sonogram bill. Del. Dave Albo (R-Fairfax County) claims that he fixed the bill. The only way this bill is going to be fixed is when it's torn into tiny little pieces and thrown in the face of the republican male delegates who voted for this invasive, costly, unnecessary, insulting and demeaning bill.
Hi
ReplyDeleteI just joined your pac and gave a 100 dollar donation. I think you should put your logo on those black hats (like they wear on NCIS) special forces type.. I WANT ONE!!!! a hat that says Women's strike force. I am from California, we have all Dem legislature, every major office is Dem so we don't have to worry about this particular kind of stupid legislation. And I am 60 so way past contreception years, but I join this superpac and make a donation to show my support of young women who live in states that might have to put up with this type of religious fanatic extremism.
Thank you for your terrific blog post and for supporting the Women's Strike Force! Keep up the great work to publicize our efforts and raise money! -- Rebecca Geller, spokeswoman for Women's Strike Force
ReplyDeleteTHANKYOU! I wish I wasn't on a fixed income because I now have a cause that makes me fighting mad! I am a republican, don't want girls to have an abortions but these bills are so wrong on so many levels it is unbelievable! I just found out that TEXAS passed one and then went even further!!!! I can go door to door. I can spend my time( 24/7/365 ) and energy getting rid of knuckle heads like these! Do you have any idea who in Texas is spear heading this?
ReplyDeleteI am 63 1/2 years old, way past the need for contraception, BUT ...I know what it is like to live without being able to get it when you need it. What it is like to not be able to have credit in your own name without the consent and/or signature from a husband or brother. To be considered a second class citizen and therefore to have NO rights to your own personal healthcare decisions. Finally a group to bring us all together to fight back against this ultra conservative evil which seems to be infecting what used to be a great country. I will find a way to send a contribution. I will do everything I can to join in the fight, even though at the moment Washington State is democratic and has so far held off this kind of legislation. If we do not stop it now, we may very well find ourselves wearing burkhas and living as chatal in an ultra right religious theocracy right here 'at home'!
