Repubicans Introduce Three Personhood Bills in Congress

It was a delightful surprise to learn that Mississippi voters soundly rejected the rightwing personhood amendment 42% to 58%.  It's not a coincidence that the backers of this amendment chose to run it in Mississippi which ranks 49th in national education and a historically vibrant religious tradition.  Emily's List, Planned Parenthood, Naral Pro-Choice America and many other organizations worked hard to fight this bill.  These organizations explained some of the terrible ramifications of this initiative to the populace and the people of Mississippi  listened and made an informed choice.  Concerned citizens across the US donated money and time to keep women's reproductive rights secure from this right wing attack.  But the republicans didn't get the message, House Republicans have introduced 3 bills copying the personhood amendment.

From Emily's List:
House Republicans have introduced three bills copying the Mississippi initiative. We need to start right now, working to replace these out-of-touch Republicans with leaders who will respect women's healthcare. Join the EMILY's List community and pro-choice champion Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in telling Republicans that attacks on women's health will not be tolerated.
Join EMILY’s List and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and send a message to House Republicans and the national GOP that their anti-woman, anti-choice agenda will not be tolerated.
