Recently, my mother-in-law had her 75th birthday. For her birthday party I prepared 3 desserts; Chessecake, Flan and German Chocolate cake. Bev gave us a lovely dish to serve flan in. If you put the flan on a regular plate, a depression forms in the middle, as in this picture. This creates a lake of caramel sauce in the middle of the flan. Here is a picture of Flan in the great new serving dish Beverly gave us. Thanks Mom and Happy Birthday.
